Today we released a minor update to MathRider V7. This update brings the official version to 7.0.32.
The new version contains two enhancements and some minor fixes and code optimisations.
As always, we are making this release available to all existing paid users of our popular math facts game free of charge.
1. Rewritten Rider Maintenance Screen
We have redesigned the Rider Maintenance screen to be more in keeping with the look and feel of the rest of the game. We also reworked the logic on how riders can log in, be modified and deleted from the game. All individual dialogs connected to Rider Maintenance have been updated and reworked.
The whole process is now a lot more user friendly and intuitive.
2. Windows only: Added ability to move Rider Database file
This has been requested a few times over the years. It is now possible to move the riders.db player database file into any folder of your choosing. For example, you might want to place it into a DropBox folder, so the file can be synchronized on a second computer where your child is also playing MathRider, or simply for backup purposes.
To update the riders.db file location, locate the prefs.ini file in C:\Users\<username>\AppData\LocalLow\Sharper Edge International Pty Ltd\MathRider and edit it to suit.
For example, to set the file to be in the root directory of your D: drive, enter the following line:
databasePath=D:/Please note that this feature will only work on Windows, as MathRider runs in a security sandbox on macOS. This means on a Mac you cannot override the database file location to anywhere outside MathRider’s sandbox.
