If we had our way, we would want our kids to eat nothing but healthy foodstuff. However, we can’t be with them all the time, and sooner or later they’ll be tempted to give what we consider junk food a try. While there’s not much we can do about that, we can at least try to develop in them a distaste for unhealthy food, particularly ones which mess with brain function. Fitnea.com lists down 11 intelligence killing food that our children—and all of us, for that matter—need to avoid.
Among the brain killing foodstuff listed in the Fitnea post that our children easily have access to are sugary products, junk food, fried food, processed or pre-cooked food, very salty food, trans fats, processed proteins, artificial sweeteners and all kinds of grains except for 100% whole grain. Also listed are alcohol and nicotine, which may not be food, but intelligence killing just the same.
